If you're a fan of Mel Robbins, you already know that her candor and direct delivery are welcomed and appreciated.


I'll be honest though - I wasn't sure when I downloaded it if it was going to keep me engaged the entire time because clearly, we're going to be giving ourselves “high fives.” The reality was it was the exact opposite and I didn't want it to end. Most importantly, this simple adjustment has boosted my confidence each and every day and I’m encouraging everyone around me (including my kids) to do it, too.

I love the way that she guides you through the entire process, which is backed by science as well. First of all, she's super candid, unfiltered, real, genuine, and authentic. Most importantly, she’s so relatable. Even though she’s an incredibly successful and accomplished woman, she's able to really pull you in and connect the dots.


I’ll admit it though; the first day I kind of felt silly doing the high five in the mirror, but by the second day, not only did I smile and feel better about myself, but it was another win for me that day.


Throughout the book, she guides you using stories and examples that demonstrate why it’s important for you to start each day with a positive attitude and what your brain does in response to this behavior shift. You can hear how genuine and heartfelt that story was to her and what that meant to her, and it just made me love Mel Robbins, even more than I already did. So between the High 5 Habit and Mel Robbins 5 Second Rule, I feel like I'm winning with simple concepts that Mel has taught us over the years.


She also has a five-day challenge that you can sign up with growth day, which is another awesome opportunity for you to continue to reinforce the concepts from the book.


I absolutely loved this self development book! It's honestly one of the best personal development books I've read in a long time. I cannot thank Mel enough for creating it, and for sharing her wisdom with us.
